when da oil in my fryers bout spent its time for one last fry n thats da oil end game lol fish and is what i make when we wanna eat like a pirate but cant afford long johns lol. add slaw n corn n hush puppies n its pretty damn close n waaaayyy cheaper the batter even makes da little crispies my boys cant get enough chips either. best way to fry taters their like the mojo potatoes u used to get from shakeys pizza R.I.P

shit barbossas on his way lets get on this heres what we need

bout 6 to 10 fish fillet. any kind. i just grab whats on sale. if frozen just defrost in water first

cookin oil. any kind. dealers choice lol

6 to 8 russet potatoes

for da fish and chip batter

1 1/2.c all purose flour

2.tbsp corn starch

2.c beer any kind. or water😒

1.tbsp malt vinager

1.tbsp lemon juice

1.tsp baking soda

1.tsp baking powder

1.tsp of each da following. salt. pepper. onion powder. garlic powder.white pepper. tarragon. ground fennel seed.allspice

for potato flour

bout 3 cups all purose flour

salt

for crab cakes

16.oz imitation or real crab

1 1/2 cup real mayo. like hellmans

half a small diced white or yellow onion

3 eggs

1 sleeve crackers

1/2.c bread crumbs

1/4.tsp each of following. onion powder.garlic powder.pepper

1/2.tsp old bay

first off we’ll wash n cut up our taters wit da skin on and bout 1/4 .in thick n add em to a bowl of water to soak n wash off excess starches n set em aside til we ready

k now well get da crab cakes put together by dicing up our crab meat n puttin in a big bowl

next well mix the mayo n eggs 2gether n add it to da crab

then well take a whole sleeve of crackers n crush em up real good. no wrong way to do it go nutz lol

now mix the crushed crackers and 1/2 cup bread crumbs and seasonings into the crab too n stir til combined n it holds 2gether good if its not holdin well add more mayo

k after its all mixed up n holdin together grab u a handfull n pack it like u makin a hamburger patty outta it

uh. ya duhhh. lol. sorry. been a dad for bout 20 years now so this is how i think or cauz im a dude or buzzed lol but anyway u should get bout 6 of em outta it then place em in da fridge til fry time which reminds me its bout time to add yo oil to what u usein n get it heatin up to 375°

now well start on da fish by mixin up da batter by addin all batter ingredients to a big bowl n stirrin til combined. it should be a bit thick n not to watery. if it seems watery add more flour n if to thick add more beer or water

now take your fresh or thawed out fish. im using tilapia cauz it was on sale lol. n dredge em in flour n then drop a few into da batter

dip em real good then off to da fryer if its at 375° and let em cook for bout 4 to 6 min

n be sure to fish out them crispies lol. crispies for days

after they fryed up let em rest on a wire rack n if yo oils fresh theyll be a lot lighter color lol i been fryin lots of chicken lately lol

now grab yo taters n toss em in wit da batter real good. i usually thin out da batter it alittle milk after da fish are done

then off to a big bowl wit da flour n salt n toss em round good in there too til they all covered

then off to da fryer for bout 8 min then boom chips are done n u can hit em wit salt y they still oily n restin

then finnally drop in da crab cakes n cook for bout 6 min n let em rest

now grab u sum malt vinagar. tarter sauce cocktail sauce hot sauce n any other sauce lol sum slaw ect n get it
