no round eye can resist chinese american food lol super sweet n orangy fried chicken chunks wit fried rice n creamy crunchy rangoon no cookie tho but my boys love it and u can make 4 times as much for da price u pay for take out n its as good or better and makes alot so itll feed 10 to 12 wit leftovers… maybe lol heres what we need
cooking oil
for da orange chicken
4 lbs chicken breast tenders or just breast
2 eggs
1/2.c milk
all purpose flour least 3 cups for breading seasoned wit salt.onion powder.garlic powder n pepper. as much or little as u like
2.c chicken broth or stock
2.c orange juice
3 1/2.c sugar
1/2.c soy sauce
1/2.c vinagar
1/2.tsp ground ginger
1/2.tsp pepper
1 1/2.tbsp garlic powder
1/2.c corn starch
for fried rice
4.c instant rice
half a medium white or yellow onion diced
olive oil
1.tbsp minced garlic
16.oz bag frozen peas n carrots
1/2.c soy sauce
sesame seed oil ( very important ) lol
4 eggs scrambled
for rangoon
one pack egg roll wraps
2 8.oz blocks of cream cheese
8.oz crab meat
4 green onion stalks diced
2.tbsp soy sauce
1.tbsp honey
1/4.tsp garlic powder
small drop of seasame seed oil
1 egg
first off lets get on da orange sauce. take a big pot n put your oj, vinager ,sugar,soy sauce, chicken stock n seasonings in and add 1/2.c cornstarch and whisk it up n bring to a boil then simmer for bout a hour or til it reduces sum n thickens up while we get on the rest of this just keep a eye on it n stir once in a while
k now take yo chicken out da packs n place em in a bowl wit just enough water to cover em n add a few good shakes or 10 of salt lol n put em in da fridge while we prep shit lol
now get 4.c water n a big pot n bring to boil n add your 4.c of rice stir n turn off heat n cover n let sit til were ready for it.
k now lets get on da rangoons. grab yo green onion n crab meat n dice em up real good n throw em in a big bowl wit da cream cheese soy sauce honey n garlic powder n add a small drop of sesame seed oil. little goes a long way
now get yo paws n there n bring it all 2gether real good til it looks like a crabby cheese ball
now grab u a small bowl n crack a egg in it and wisk it up. well use it for glue to seal da wrapper while we fold em. i usually use wanton wrappers but they were out so i got egg roll ones which are way bigger but oh well ill show ya how i did em but do how u want. theres directions on da wrapper packs lol. just make sure to dip yo finger or brush n egg any part of da wrapper that folds onto itself to seal em or they will open on ya while fryin lol. had enough for 20 uh rangoontons or whatever they became lol😆
k off to da fridge while we heat up da oil in our fryer to 375°
k oils heatin so well get da chicken out da fridge n chop em up into little bit sized chunks n grab a big bowl n fill it wit like 8.c of flour for dredging and hit it wit salt, onion powder, garlic powder n pepper bout 10 shakes of each or more i never measure da flour or seasonin so just go for it lol then toss sum chicken chunks in and coat em reall good
then in a big bowl mix your 2 eggs n 1/2 .c milk 2gether til blended n toss the floured chickens in there n toss til coated then back to da flour again
k now off to da fryer at 375° for bout 6 min while we get on da rice. grab u a big pan n hit it wit sum olive oil to coat it n add yo diced up onions n minced garlic n cook on med high for bout 8 min then add yo peas n carrots n cook another 8 min
we know forrest we know. lol. k time to pull da chicken out n place on racks to drip dry n add another batch to da fryer
k back to rice. now da veggies are soft skoot em off to da sides n add 4 eggs n scramble em up real good or u can do it in another pan n add em. sorry no pic i forgot but yall can scramble sum eggs lol. after they scrambled its time to add the rice and soy sauce n stir it up good while still on med heat for bout 10 min n then the most important part to make da rice taste like take out is to drizzle the sesame seed oil on start wit alittle n add more to taste. its real strong so dont over do it. id say for this recipe to use 1/4.c at most lol n then cook another 5 min then boom done. this can be a dinner by itself by addin sum ham or pork ect…
now back 2 da chicken. take da second batch out da oil n put em on da rack wit da rest damn they addin up lol n kill da heat to da oil cause were bout to fry up da rangoontons lol n we need to fry em at boyt 350° so they dont burn
after they dripped off a bit add sum to da sauce n mix em in good. then add more n repeat till they all coated n set aside for a min to soak up that good good
n finnally well get back on da rangoontons lol. really if u juggle all this n your time it can all come 2gether quick. it took me 2 hours 2 do all this n i was drinking n takin pics n shit lol seems like alot but its not if u multitask it but where was i. oh ya lol. k get da rangoons out da fridge n put as many as u can in da oil which should be at 350° now n fry em for bout 4 min n turn em if possible n place em on a rack then finish up da rest n were done. grab yo chop sticks lol any extra orange sauce goes great for rangoonton dippin or grab u sum hot mustard mmmmm
